2 threads have come up that I'd like to comment on. 1. Whether or not to secure the pinblock. (this months thread) 2. The technician who was recently hired as a shop manager only to see a recently restrung Steinway, where somebody had driven the pins and coils clear to the plate. (last months thread). My opinion: All pro and con arguments aside, when that piano gets delivered, it will have your name on it. You could be labeled for someone elses sloppy work. You could even have other technicians thinking you did it. Reputation is really important in this business. Ron Shiflet
