SAT Mystery

Well, I have solved the great mystery of how to get the fifth octave to show a
good and discernable pattern, and. like many a mystery, it is very simple. I
have not made an extensive study of this solution, but I am sure I will hear of
it if someone finds it does not work on a particular piano, but that's OK too.

If you are having difficult seeing a pattern when tuning to top of the fith
octave you can turn the SAT on it's left end. The wave lengths up there are on
the order of 6" to 7" so setting the SAT on it's side will elivate the
microphone just enough to catch the anti-node. If you need more elivation set
it on one of the plate struts.

Happy Lighting,
