Joel,

I am happy to see you and possibly your wife on the list.  What
a great addition of experience to the forum.

I often run across the lid prop at the wrong position, i.e. not
90%.  I haven't had any problem but I always move it to the
right spot.  I would imagine if it was a real problem the
calamity of lids slamming down during performances would pass
quickly through the performing community!
