Anyone heard of that? > > James Grebe in St. Louis > pianoman@inlink.com James, Does it break at the v-bar or the becket? I've got a KG-2C that was breaking a lot in the 3rd and the lower part of the last sections. Always at the v-bar. The Pianist at the time died and the breakages have just about stopped. The only other Kawai grand that I had problems with had tight pins that jumped and I just horsed it around too much. I don't envy you with that situation at all. You may want to try going flat some to open up the becket a little before you go up to tune the strings in the area. Better unstable than broke! You definately want to get some Protek on those bearings! Hope this helps, Warren -- Home of The Humor List Warren D.
