Dave / List / etc.,
What a horror story about the half size diff in the Roslau wire.
Not to worry? One half size is at least 10 lb diff in tension. Where
is there published an equivilant chart? But for bass string makers
and their considerations of inharmonicity I
would probably end up with an advanced case of diearesis.
Which for some reason brings up the subject of umlauts. I am
surprised it isn't ûmlauts, or better, ûmlåüts. In W95 from the
Start button press Programs, then Accessories, then Character Map,
ünt Vòilá. pardón my French, I never could remember where those
thingies go.
Richard M ò¡ó Ðy.

ps You might have to tweek your fonts or wo W95 try alt 0246.
pp Please excuse me, for some reason I just remembered you might be
using a Mac. Dunno if there are control keys to produce dieretics.
Haven't used one for a while so I hope I forgot.
