Horace,

My partner just put the wire in the rod this morning.  He used brass and
hammered it into the holes.  The wire is very tight in the holes, do we
really need the solder also?  I visualize a solder joint being necessary
if the wire was loose in the holes.

Also this piano is no more than 25 years old.
