That's one of Pianzlyzer's functions, it translates the sound into a useable form. I'm currently working on making pianalyzer able to give output which would be useful for both rebuilders and investigators in examining tone atack and decay. Willis Snyder (one of the best rebulders arround) was in my RCT class at the Wisconson PTG convention in April. He had several sugestions for graphs which I'm working on. If you want to crunch that much data yourself, and you're not a programmer, you might want to look at getting a program like "Mathmatica" which is available on all platforms. >Speaking about exportability, how difficult would it be to convert the raw >data into a MIDI file. IOW, do we have a sampler on our hands, not just of >piano sound but even who knows, the songbirds of spring? > It could be converted into midi data on the fly, but it would be slightly behind the beat. But who ever heard of a tuning device which played music? <g> Caution: Shameless plug comming up! Don't miss Mitch Kiel and my class "The Digital-Aural Tuner" at the Orlando Piano Technicians Guild convention this July. We'll be covering some new ground in this very area! -Dean ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dean L.
