Cost of Pianos

Further to the discussion re the cost of pianos:

I see people buying $40,000 trucks almost every day. 

I don't think it is always a money issue because the same people who
have those trucks have ski-doos, satelite dishes, and the very latest
electronic gadgetry along with the worst piano you ever saw.

I think it's priorities; perhaps I'm wrong.
