I recently tuned a Yamaha studio piano that belongs to a Taiwanese family, who
brought the piano from home. (They are staying here for a couple of years).
It looked, sounded and acted very much like the Brentwood studios I have
tuned. The customer told me they bought the piano in Taiwan, but that it was
made in China. Now I don't know about the trade relations between mainland
China and Taiwan, but if it had a Yamaha name on it, perhaps it came to Taiwan
through Japan. Anyone know anything about this?
