Jim, I could not agree with you more. I have talked to many techs that have had an idea, and for whatever reason someone else either published or in someway furthered the idea to others. I have gained so much from LaRoy and others. Bill Garlick was glad to see the regulating book of Danny Boones and also laughed and said ..."maybe he did learn what I taught him." He was flatered by the book and took it as an emblem of success. I hope I did not sound as if I was not giving credit due to Jon. Jon forgive. It is my opinion that LaRoy and others like him are happy to further any and all knowledge in this field and we are priveledged to benefit from their wisdom. Most of the tools in my kit that I have made are certainly not my ideas...but I too have inproved on them. Ed Tomlinson << Jon; No need to defend your PTLG. DaVinci had the idea for flight and parachutes and had drawings of some things but the ideas languished for years, nay centuries, until someone came along with the drive and ambition to take the ideas and make them a reality. While I don't doubt the veracity of LaRoy having this idea many years ago, I also think he would be among the first to give you credit for making it a reality in the useful tool spectrum. LaRoy is one of those individuals who are so knowledgable and giving that we can never repay them for all they have given and taught us over the years. The best way to repay LaRoy, and those like him, is to take their teaching/ideas, understand them, refine them if we can, and pass those lessons/ideas on to others. Based on this premise you have done well Jon. Jim Bryant (FL) >>
