In the most extreme dry conditions here in Oklahoma I've experienced, it takes a week and a half before the low warning light comes on. >> The dampp chaser thread has struck a bell with me. I have had a system in my Kawai ust7 for 10 1/2 years. I hadn't used much water this winter and I was wondering if it was because the weather has been mild for a Minnesota winter. I added water 2 weeks ago and also changed the pads. The low water light came on in only 2 weeks! I would like to deduce that changing the pads enabled the water to wick up to the heater bar more efficiently. Perhaps my piano was "water deprived" all winter-long! Any comments? I don't have a humidty measuring device, so I have not tracked the rh. Karen Johnson Rochester, MN
