Hi all, Don't remember who had the problem with the QuietTime that had clicking dampers but me thinks I gots a cure. I recently had the dubious honour and challenge to install the aforementioned contraption in an Acrosonic Spinette. I first had to remove it from a Baldwin French Grand piano and then re-intall it in the aforementioned orchestrelle spinette. Fun stuff, and not for the faint of heart. I found a new way to use a router .............. no guides, big hoggy bit sticking way out ............. wood chips flying everywhere ............. totally satisfying. Ahem, reduce damper lift in the offending area, ( mayhaps the bass), add self adhesive felt to the offending side of the stop rail, grind down the lip of the rail to the absolute minimum. If the cushion comes loose from the heat generated, use PVCE glue to reattach.
