Not really. The noise from those bass strings is usually coming from the
string loop settling down on the hitch pin under tension. Twisting them
during installation means they aren't going to lay down real nicely until
you get some tension on them. What we're talking about with the agraffes is
more of a squeak as you move the pin back and forth. You can also feel it in
the hammer.
