Glenn, One of my hobbies at one time was stained glass, They have an acid wash for that purpose. Go to a stained glass suppy house and ask them if it would work on the metal lamppost. Of course it would need to be washed off carefully, keeping pets and children in mind (including the runoff). Mike Miccio, R.P.T.
