Dear Diane and list I do not charge extra for Baldwins, I have several customers with these Baldwin model, the only time I noticed it harder to tune was the first time I was called. I normally schedule my customers in my computer and call them periodically for piano maintenance, that helps the customer, and myself. Once a piano is scheduled for tunings, (Baldwin each six month) I never have difficulty tuning them subsequently.. ----- Original Message ----- From: Diane Hofstetter <dianepianotuner@hotmail.com> To: <pianotech@ptg.org> Sent: Sunday, October 31, 1999 6:40 PM Subject: Baldwins cost more to tune? > Dear List, > > I have a person coming to look at a Baldwin Howard grand that we have for > sale which was restrung and received new action parts about 10 years ago. > The lady has been studying Larry Fine's book and read that piano techs don't > like to tune Baldwins because they are so hard to tune.
