Too much chance of seizing it completely, and at the wrong place. First, I would look hard at the note, and be sure that what you are guessing is what actually happened. Then, I think I would turn the screw way up, put white glue (Elmer's) on the threads down near the rail, and turn it back down to the right place. If the hole is way too large, I might turn off the button, and turn or pull the screw all the way out. Then I might put CA glue into the hole, being careful not to completely plug the hole with it. Let it set up for an hour or so, and then turn back in the screw. If none of this works, it is possible to make a new screw hole just to the side of the old one. It looks lousy, but usually there is enough clearance for it to work. I've tended to do it when the old screw has broken off in the hole, and cannot be removed. Susan
