List,

Last week I used Susan's CA and yellow glue combination on a bridle
strap install and it worked very well and fast. Typically I glue the
straps to the catcher shank right where it enters the hammer butt. I
used a "brush" made from a piece of hammer felt glued to a hammer shank
to put a dot of yellow glue on the shank, did 6 at a time, then put a
dot of medium CA on the strap and held it in place for 3 seconds or so
with a BSHIP stick. (Bridle strap hold in place). This was two hammer
shanks glued end to end with a sleeve, one end carved to the curve of
the catcher shank. With the straps previously cut, gluing all 88 in
place took 30 minutes. That glue combination is my new friend, I should
get a life.
