Dear John, The letter Þ is Icelandic. It is not a p. It´s pronounced like the Th in "Thór" (who is a Nordic god, mind you) The letter y with two dots above it I believe to be Turkish. Here are some more distinctive letters in Icelandic (yes I know Mr. Brekne you also have the last two of them in Norway): Á á, É é, Í í, Ý ý, Ú ú, Ó ó, Ð ð, Æ æ, Ö ö.
