Restringing preparation

I have known colleagues which use both methods.

Whichever method you use, (dropping tension before cutting, or cutting the
wire ) it is ok if you do it in a way to maintain tension in equilibrium.

Myself. I prefer lowering the tension first, I do not fancy strings jumping
all over
