Most and least favorite pianos: A. 6' or longer grand piano Favorites: Any larger Steinway, most Yamahas, especially C_3, Some big Baldwins, M & Ham, a well voiced Kawai. Least favorites, Kimball, Aeolians, B. less than 6' grand piano Favorites: Steinway M, O, L, many Yamaha G's and C's, if maintained, Bechstein, some nice Kawai's, classic Knabe's & M & Ham., some Baldwin R's and L's. others. (I like playing a freshly tuned Weber from Korea....) Least: Baldwin's cheap line, Kimball of course. C. 45" or higher upright piano: Favorites: Baldwin Concert Vertical, many Yamaha's, most Kawai's. And many fine old uprights built when the buying public had more musical literacy and taste. Least: East European, worn Hamilton's, not wild about Yamaha's P22. Kimball, again. Gulbransen's, Wurlitzers D. less than 45" upright piano favorites: Baldwin Acrosonics, some Yamaha consoles, Kawai's definitely. Least: the 'Grand' spinets, Kimball Whitneys, Kohler and Campbell, H. Millers, Lester Wurlitzer
