Has there ever been a discussion on safe methods of accomplishing this? If not, could anyone with experience reply? Tools, jacks, cranes, manpower...what is necessary? Thanks to all, Regards, Stan Kroeker >> Stan: The secret to installing the truck under the piano is to put a block of wood under the truck arm when the leg had been put on it. You only need two blocks, for two of the legs. As far as lifting the piano, you can do it the easy way or the hard way. The hard way is to lift up the corner of the piano, and while you're holding up the piano, slide a bench with books on it under the piano with your legs. The easy way is to jack up the piano. Susan Graham has an article about this procedure in one of the Journals, (I don't know which one). Build a box, 9"x"9 x12". Make it sturdy. On top of the box, put a hydraulic jack. (You can buy one from Grainger for about $10.00). Jack up the corner of the piano, and slide the truck arm under it. (remove the caster first). Willem Blees
