I first heard of using dryer sheets in a piano many years ago from a
customer who bought a piano from someone who was a smoker.  She didn't
realize there would be an odor until she got it home.  When she called me to
service the piano, she explained why the dryer sheets were in there.  I
thought she was brilliant for thinking of it!  It did help.
