Um,  no, usually WT refers to well-temperament,  a genre, not a specific 
tuning.

    Yes, that is what it refers to, however, I don't like to use the term 
since all temperaments we have are "historical".

    I haven't seen this particular abbreviation, (Kirnberger)

   Yes,  MT is best qualified by number, 1/4, 1/6, PBMT,(Paul Bailey), etc.   
otherwise, once again, it is describing a class of tuning that differs from 
the WT.

Um,, I use the abbreviations for ease of typing.  ( I was asked today what 
RPT stands for.....)
