Alan, I have installed many DC units here in Florida w/o the tank..we don't need to add any humidity..ever..and no I DON'T live in the keys. Dampp-Chaser doesn't have a problem with my installs..and neither should you. -Phil Bondi (Fl.) tito@philbondi.com
