tuning speed

List,
 The guy I apprenticed under years ago,told me over & over, the faster I 
tuned string and set the pin,the more stable it would be.I think after much 
experince,you can move the string just the right amount ,and move on.I always 
tune fast,and make a final pass,listening soft and slow for that perfect 
unison.There is a difference between
careless rushing,and efficient tuning.It takes me 45 min.to an hour on a 
normal tuning,and about 20 min.for a pitch raise.
