List members,
Thank you for your help and information that helped me decide , at
least temporarily against the stroke sander purchase. I'm not really
sure that I need another 3 phase machine in a residential shop. It's too
big for me and I don't have the room for it. It's also potentially too
small if I get into larger pianos.
I also promised an update on the new (toys) I adopted at the
woodworkers show in Columbus this past weekend. I adopted a set of three
router bits designed mainly for glue up applications, drawers and miters
and the like, by Viper. I also got a new fence for my Unisaw and a
couple new scrapers with handle and the thing that sets the hook. I
found a guy with his own small lumber company in the south. He had
patented the idea of putting markings on the back of a tape rule to
measure and calculate board feet. I don't really need another tape
measure but I thought it might be good to have the ability to double
check my lumber supplier and also I don't mind supporting someone with a
good idea.
I've now move past the issue of tapering "my new soundboard" and
will try and tackle the issue of rib and bridge glue up and installation
and pre-crowning the ribs and installation etc., etc. If anyone has info
to share or a place to point me in the right direction I would be very
grateful.

Greg
