Convention Through July 4th!/David M. Porritt

You lucky dog! I too would love to have gone into DC but was tied up in
Council until it was too late to get near the Mall.

Joe is right in another post -- July 4th is a time to be with family and to
celebrate the country. I did manage to catch a little suburban display in
Vienna with a cousin and his family, and I remember counting myself lucky to
have family in the area that year.

+ + +

Now ... does anyone know if we will be given the chance to celebrate the
4th, Texas style? Or will we be at the mercy of a hotel in a nobody's-land?

Just curious..... we are thinking of not going to the Dallas convention
because
we cant go shopping on the 4th of July ??
>snip<
I know I enjoyed being in Arlington for that... went into DC and just had a
cozy old time sitting under Lincolns glance. Hadnt been their since I was 9
years old.
