I tuned a Packard old upright recently. Cast into the plate at the bottom was "The Wickham Piano Plate, Springfield, OH." Kelly plate, (or what was Kelly plate until S&S bought it recently) is located in Springfield, OH. Was Wickham a predecessor that evolved into Kelly, or was Springfield simply a hot-bed (so to speak) of plate manufacturers. Terry Farrell
