Refinishing - Stripping & Stain Uneveness

Gordon and friends,

If you want to avoid both bleaching and heavy veneer sanding, sand the
veneer lightly and spray the stain. Let it, look for uneven tone, and
lightly mist the uneven areas. With a little practice, you can get
perfectly uniform results, even on uneven colored mahoganies. I've been
doing this for years, with great results. Doesn't work with Minwax type oil
stains. Works well with dyes or Mohawk Ultra Penetrating and similar
stains.
