This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment Gentlemen, A customer of mine has a Chickering upright, made in the = 1920's. The hammers have side to side movement as a result of loose = centerpins in the bushings of the hammer butt flanges. The flanges are = metal.....they are not billings flanges...She would like to preserve the = value of the piano by maintaining original parts, if at all possible. = To install a one size larger center pin through the birdseye of the butt = would more than likely cause a split, since the piano is so old and the = parts are somewhat brittle. Can anyone offer any advice about this = situation, other than telling her to forget it? =20 Wesley Hardman Scottsboro, Alabama ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
