Greetings All,

Today I came upon a Knabe, Mingonette piano. Its only a
console piano, with a shortened upright action, (not a drop action) however, it
has a pedal lyre, with all the pedal rods, cheek blocks that come out, and a key
frame that slides out of its bed! The thing is put together like a grand!!
I could hardly believe it.

How could Knabe, after going to the trouble of "marrying"
grand features to a console size piano, put plastic back checks, jacks(!) and
plastic damper levers(!) in the action? The plastic parts are breaking. Are
parts available for this piano?

Julia Gottchall,
Reading, PA
