Now and then you're about to start tuning and you find that the bench is too 
high to comfortably accomadate your legs! Mostly it's  a bench that's been 
padded or has some kind of tapestry or a pad that's tied to it. So now, I 
ALWAYS bring my trusty folding chair to each job. It is about an inch or two 
lower than the typical piano bench, which i like and light enough to move 
easily as you're tuning.
