That wasn't a good choice of words for me to use--sounds too highfalutin and suggests a technical level of understanding I don't really have. I just meant things like being able to measure the inharmonicity jump at the bass/tenor break of a many small pianos, etc. Also, using Tunelab's spectrum analyzer, I can "see" the noise in some of those treble keys--which I find VERY helpful in pulling in those 6th and 7th unisons.
