Is this the thread about the pickup for the church piano?
I don't remember if this was a grand or vertical piano.  If it is a 
vertical piano the most inexpensive way to go (and it might work just 
fine for the application) is get a PZM mic (Radio Shack still makes one 
I believe) and tape it to the front of the inside of the lid so that it 
faces down to the action. Or on the inside of the knee board facing the 
bridge (unless the trap assembly is too noisy.  You can do an internet 
search on PZM mike (pressure zone mic) and find sources for them $ 
25-$200 even though the Radio Shack ones I have (I believe they were 
make by Crown) work fine.
