In your reply re: I'll send you my actions for repair - at the speed and
rate you charge I'll still make a profit... etc. Did you suggest "Harry
Potter School of Piano Tuning" ? I don't beleive it...:-) or even ;-)

The one job I don't like is recentring. I often find the new centre pushes
out the bushing on the exit side. I think maybe I have a batch of poorly
pointed centres. One dodge I got from a fortepiano maker was: "always use
the same size centre as came out!"
"but they'll slip!"
"Not if you insert a drop of water in the wood and heat it with a gently
heated piece of piano string..."
So I did that.
It works...!
Now I use a lowered voltage soldering iron witha bit of piano string stuck
on the bit. It works too.
So :-)s all round
