Andrew,
Thanks for the info. I am one of those rock and blues guys . By the last set
things can get loud, esp with a drummer who drinks beer from a pitcher. The
funny thing is that some times a bright piano can make the ears feel the
same . I am very interested in trying the ear filters , but it seems that
they would be best  left off during fine voicing.
