This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ---------------------- multipart/alternative attachment Definitely, the Mathushek is the finest square grand I have ever restored and I have done three of them and several other brands. He designed the first REAL square grand. After his square grand came out everyone else had to make theirs with a cast iron plate and just as large. Before Mathushek square pianos had mostly wooden frames (except for Chickering and some others) and they were rather small. Mathushek built that LARGE square piano that most of us run from. I have some definite things to say about the quality of square grands on my website. No, I love them. I also restore them but I don't like to do it. They are a royal pain in the neck. I also have had new hammer butts made so I can replace the whole set when I do one. D.L.
