bass strings

Gooood point. Yes they buzz when sounding. Some of the dampers did buzz on
return,
so managed to fix those.  I'm supposing that maybe they buzzed before the coke
? ! ?
Possible that these are baaaaaad strings. Must replace one bad one to ascertain
for sure.
