I've never thought of El Paso as South Texas. Always West Texas! :-) But 
dryer, yes!

I guess I missed the post about where it will be moving to, but in my area 
(Houston) I really don't think a complete system is necessary, assuming 
normal air-conditioning, etc. in the home. Roger Wheelock gave a class here 
about that once and I "believe" that was the general consensus.
