Hi Matt,

> Japanese. The pianos are now known by the name Nakamura.

Nakamichi! A very familiar name to me -- great audio equipment. Apparently
the Nakamichi piano company had a conflict with the Nakamichi audio
equipment company and had to rename. <shrug> More info:
 Manufacturer details
            Name Nakamura
            Country of manufacture: Japan
            South Korea

Address Nakamura, Inc, Inchon, South Korea
            Brand names Nakamichi, Nakamichi-Schultz, Nakamura

            Background
Name changed from Nakamichi to Nakamura in 1998 due to a
trademark conflict. Nakamura is a joint venture with Young Chang. Nakamura
also has a piano joint venture with Schultz & Sons.
            Piano range
The pianos are made in Korea by Young Chang to its standard
designs, shipped to a dedicated Young Chang workshop in Hamamatsu, Japan and
fitted with Abel hammers, regulated, voiced and modified in various ways.
Said to be approx 5 - 10% more expensive than the standard pianos from Young
Chang. Not imported into the UK.
            Warranty
            12 years

Peace,
Sarah
