I have made some dowels the height of the front rail and balance rail pins. They each have a hole drilled through it just slightly larger than the respective pins. I push the pins in their holes with my fingers, put the dowel over the pin, and lightly tap the pin into place with a small hammer. The dowel stops the pin at the correct height and the straight hole in the dowel keeps the pin going in straight. It's quick, accurate and easy. dave __________________________________________ David M.
