The answer from Yamaha

I'm not sure what the apparent fixation is with #13 size! There is NOT a 13
size stamped on the yamaha. The last SIX unisons (ending at C8) are 13.5.
Period.

So if you subtract 1/2 a size it is the same as reading backwards from the
treble. The reason they don't have a 13 stamped is it is 12.5 wire metric
which is in the piano.
This would apply to European pianos also? Has a nyone mic'd a Hamburg at
sometime and let me know? Of course this isn't of much importance if you
mic the strings!
