Another great topic.

Again, in my world, the piano dictates the stretch.  I find on most (not
all) pianos
If I make the triple octave =B3beatless=B2 in octaves 6.5, 7 and 8, the piano
sounds beautifully in tune in arpeggio and low-bass-high-treble playing, an=
d
sounds well in tune with ascending major triads. When the high treble is
=B3right=B2 with the rest of the piano it seems to soar, and a note struck in
octave 8 will ring and cut through for an amazingly long time.

Every piano tells you how much it needs to be stretched.
