Thanks for the link. I have amongst other tools the Vigor jewelry arc =
welder that has saved me several times on small unavailable part =
repairs. Gold solder, flux, riffles, broaches, tools etc.,are at least worth =
looking into. The Channellock site looks like another resource for our =
multidisciplinary craft and Art.

A guy in our Chapter went on such a hunt recently and the local =
hardware store ordered "Channellock 35 4" "Little Champ" roundnose =
pliers. They have short strong tips, made in Germany, very nice for =
making wire loops/knot tying. Here's a link

    Hi Guys,

Vigor makes very good tools. I have several that I have used for =
years. I found their phone number in the library and called them. They =
sent me a catalog and I ordered what I wanted. I lost it in my last =
move. It may be listed somewhere online under Optical Tools and =
Supplies. Expensive but worth every penny.

I "inherited" one (brand name Vigor) from a retired opthamologist =
that really work well. They are so much better that I feel awkward =
using anything else.

I talked once with an optical (glasses) dispenser who said that he =
would be willing to hitch me up with some. Maybe you can give that =
avenue a try.

        Where can I get some high-quality, short-jawed round-nosed =
pliers (for string splicing)?

I bought a pair from Schaff a few years ago and they are junk.

        Thankee in advance.
