Using "Stanwoodized" and the phrase "EXTREMELY heavy action" is a =
bit of =3D
    =20
an oxymoron. Please explain. How can this happen?

IMHO "Heavy" is a subjective term. I would immediately suspect inertia =
as a problem, high key leading and/or heavy hammers, or low upweight, or =
it might actually BE heavy. Friction from a rise in humidity could also =
be a problem. Understanding that someone learning has been regulating =
the piano it could be something as simple as backchecks too close. A few =
minutes with some key weights checking friction and action ratio would =
probably yield some clues. Shame to give up on it.
