David,

I like my Pocket PC alot, except when it falls in the toilet. When that
happens, I curse technology and my dependency upon it.

The IPAQ I have has worked pretty well. I understand that some of the newer
Palms use the Windows operating system used in the Pocket PCs.

I use the calendar and contact functions for appointment and customer
database. They synch up with Outlook.

I have a map program loaded into it, and Tunelab Pocket. With the current
generation of batteries, I am able to do 4 or 5 pitch raises (and tunings,
though I do most fine tunings by ear and turn the computer off) without getting
close to running it out of juice.

I have said it before, and I'll say it again: SD card. Get one (for 20
bucks or so, it's a great deal) and have your unit backup automatically every
day--whether you have it synched to your computer or not.
