I've got two grands, one a yamaha C-3 late 70's and the other a Kawai KG-2 with evenly spaced separations , three to be exact, in the apron. Is it normal for the apron to not be a solid piece?

The Kawai bridge has also shifted and is making the first note in the bass to sound very woody and odd. Come to think of it, I also have a Baldwin M from the 60's with the same issue.

Please advise on best method of repair.

Thanks,
Rick Ucci/UcciPiano
