Yes, I have, and the outcome is predictable.
It is always much better.

The Wurzen felt is just far more superior than the VFG felt which some=20=

factories still choose to put on their instruments, although they are=20
few these days.
I have come to the conclusion that the reason why they insist on VFG=20
felt, is because they have a history with this felt, because
a. the Weickert/Wurzen felt factory was out of play for decades (East=20
Germany)
b. all European piano factories instantly chose the alternative, which=20=

had to be VFG (there was no choice)
c. the VFG hammer maker is a bit less costly, which to some factories=20
seems important
d. a commercial bond has been established between the hammer maker and=20=

the factory, based on mutual reliability

As far as I know, the very best European piano makers use Wurzen felt,=20=

with the exception of Fazioli, who insists on VFG.
Some of the sub toppers like Bl=FCthner and Seiler use VFG.
Some use both.
I recently visited the Petrof factory and found out that they use=20
different felt qualities for different markets.
