Actually it is just River. Never heard of it either. I tried to find
information about them and this is all I could come up with:
http://www.riverpiano.com/. "More info will be available soon." Same
snazzy logo on the fallboard. The piano was made in China. I guess =
they're
a new company.

=20

I want to thank everyone who made suggestions. I went back to the =
client's
house and tried tightening screws per the suggestions of some of you. =
Took
the action out, nothing was loose, felt around for anything on the
soundboard, looked underneath again. I think Dean May's suggestion to
reglue parts to the soundboard is probably what needs to be done. But =
since
they just bought the piano I didn't think they should have to arrange to
have that done.

=20

Incidentally, the client told me they had originally ordered an Everett =
and
received this piano by mistake. I suggested they contact their dealer, =
who
had already offered to exchange the piano they got for the one they =
ordered.
They don't want to exchange the piano, but the dealer is sending someone =
out
to look at it and/or repair it.

=20

It looks like I won't be doing the repair, but I think it was good to =
have
gone back and tried to fix the buzz anyway. They assured me that they =
would
let me know what repairs were done. They also said they would be =
calling me
in three months to tune it again, and that's always good news.

=20

Thanks again to everyone for your help. I'll let you know what the =
repair
was when I hear about it.

Take care,

Brandon Robertson

Since no one else has mentioned this (unbelievably), I "assume" you mean
Pearl River!?=20
As far as I know, there isn't a piano brand named River!=20

If I'm correct, I would suggest that you contact Mark Wisner. He's great =
to
work with
and will do everything he can to help you solve the problem. The e-mail =

I felt bad having to tell the client that his brand new piano is =
buzzing,
and I wish there was something I could do to fix it. Would some sort of
really thin shims work? How about just trying to get some glue above =
the
ribs in that area? Any advice you can give me would be appreciated.
