Hi Joe,
Probibly off the wall, but could it be that the plate to pinblock screws =
arenot tight? Allowing the screw to  actually push the block down in the =
middle. The plate holes would have to be too small for this to happen.

  Have you checked the rails, to see if they are, (also), warped? If the =
"scraping" is only happening in the middle, you do have some wiggle =
room, if you remount the center action brackets.
